Questions you MUST ask as a Leader

#1 Who are you ENCOURAGING?

Being a leader, your life is super fast and you want people to move forward quickly as well. Different emotions will build up in your life because of the lack of improvement.

Chances are that you are just leading but not ENCOURAGING.

Leadership is not just about leading. Leadership encompasses a lot of things and one of the tools God uses for us to lead people is encouragement. Never underestimate the power of encouragement! As leaders we think people know that we love them and want the best for them…

They don’t!

Take some time to say thank you to people who go the extra mile. A little encouragement will go a long way with people you are leading.

#2 Do I need to change my THINKING?

When you think about someone the first thing you will likely think about is what they are currently doing at this moment. When you think about someone you must not only think about the here and now because you might get aggravated and can not lead them well. Instead, you also must see where they are going. God is doing GREAT things around us and He can transform our minds and thinking. (Romans 12:2)

#3 What is one PROBLEM that I need to deal with…but have been putting off because it is too painful?

When it comes to leadership – denial leads to disaster. The Lord does not put problems in front of us just so we can “pray them away.” Yes, we have to pray…but we must participate with The Lord as well by becoming the leader He has called us to be—even when it requires that we make difficult decisions. As leaders we must not only to pray for others. We must also pray that God will reveal to us areas in our lives where we can improve and follow suite to be a better leader. (Psalm 119:59)
